Does Delta Airlines Have Wi-Fi?
Yes Delta offers onboard Wi-Fi called Delta Sync Wi-Fi on most of its flights. The service is powered by Viasat, and some planes still use Wi-Fi Onboard, which used to be called Gogo. You can use Delta Wi-Fi from gate to gate on many aircraft and the speeds are fast enough for streaming videos sending emails and messaging friends.

How Much Does Delta Airlines Wi-Fi Cost?
On most domestic and international flights Wi-Fi is free for all SkyMiles members. If your plane is not equipped with free Wi-Fi it paid Wi-Fi will vary on flight route.
Is There a Delta Wi-Fi Day Pass?
No, but Delta used to offer a North America Day Pass for 19 dollars. Now most flights have free Wi-Fi but for the ones that don't, you can buy paid Wi-Fi access for a price that depends on the route. Old pre-purchased Wi-Fi Onboard All-Day and Delta Global Day passes are no longer accepted on Delta flights either.
Does Delta Airlines Have Free Wi-Fi?
Yes as of early 2023 Delta began offering free Wi-Fi on most domestic flights to all SkyMiles members. It has since rolled out internationally too, and today free Wi-Fi is available on most domestic and international flights. The big gap is Asia, where Delta's Wi-Fi coverage map still shows no Wi-Fi coverage until trans-Pacific routes come online, which Delta is targeting for fall 2026.
Even if full Wi-Fi is not available on your flight Delta still offers free messaging through iMessage WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger on all Wi-Fi enabled flights.
How Is Delta Airlines Wi-Fi?
Delta Wi-Fi is fast reliable and easy to use. The airline has doubled its internet speeds since 2019 and continues to upgrade its fleet. Whether you are watching Netflix replying to work emails or scrolling social media you should have a solid connection on most Delta planes.
T-Mobile customers don't get anything extra on the Wi-Fi side since it's already free for every SkyMiles member, but they do get a free premium drink on qualifying Delta flights (more on that below).
FAQs About Delta Airlines Wi-Fi
Is Wi-Fi available on all Delta Airlines flights?
Wi-Fi is available on most Delta flights especially within the United States. Internationally you'll find it on most routes to Europe, Latin America and Africa, but Asia still has no coverage until Delta's trans-Pacific routes come online, which Delta says is happening in fall 2026.
Can I stream movies with Delta Airlines Wi-Fi?
Yes the Wi-Fi is fast enough for video streaming on most flights especially those equipped with Viasat. You can also use Delta Studio for free movies and TV shows.
Is texting free on Delta Airlines flights?
Yes free texting through WhatsApp iMessage and Facebook Messenger is available on all Wi-Fi equipped Delta flights
Can I use my T-Mobile plan for free Wi-Fi on Delta flights?
You don't need one. T-Mobile sponsors Delta's free Wi-Fi, but it works for every SkyMiles member regardless of your wireless plan. T-Mobile's own plan-based sessions (like the unlimited full-flight passes on Magenta MAX) are now a limited-time thing that T-Mobile only lists for select Alaska Airlines flights. What T-Mobile customers do get on Delta is a free premium drink (beer, wine or spirits) on qualifying flights over 350 miles on planes with Delta Sync Wi-Fi. You just need to be 21 or older and link your SkyMiles account in the T-Life app at least 24 hours before your flight.
T-Mobile customers can enjoy free Wi-Fi on Delta flights.
What should I do if I can’t connect to Delta Wi-Fi?
Try typing deltawifi.com or wifionboard.com into your browser. You can also check your device settings and restart your Wi-Fi connection. If problems persist ask a flight attendant for help.
